Shai breaths a sigh of relief now that his bedroom door is closed again and the Archfiend emerges immediately to feed. Shai isn't in the mood, which annoys her, but when he expresses a desire for her to find someone else to look after her she instead resorts to flattery. her expression, when out of sight is insincere.

Mr Gripp approaches the window and freaks out about its lengthy state of disrepair. Shai makes up a story about wanting to repair it himself, but Mr Gripp freaks out some more. He books shai and appointment to get it fixed properly and then leaves, complaining about the mess.

Mr gripp marches through shais room but cuts himself off when he sees the larger shape in the bed. He asks who it is and Shai tells him it's his girlfriend from another school. The archfiend says she isn't 'Decent' enough to rise and mr gripp makes and irritated note in his clipboard. Through the door into the common area, people are trying to snoop inside.

Shai has hidden the Archfiend under a duvet cover, but her head is still showing - he has a brief panic but then has the idea of putting his hat on her head. Outside, Mr Gripp is getting impatient and when Shai finally opens the door, he barges right past him.
